About
About Data Layer Grid
A Bangkok audit practice dedicated to financial audit of regulatory reporting applications for supervised firms.
Why this practice exists
Regulatory reporting applications carry figures that boards rarely see in the same form supervisors do. Data Layer Grid was formed in Bangkok to give finance and reporting leaders an independent look at those packs — not another generalist audit reused with a different cover page.
Origin
The practice began after repeated filing seasons in which reconciling items and late overlays created last-minute stress for Thai legal entities inside regional groups. Partners who had spent years inside return preparation wanted a firm that would stay with one application long enough to understand its quirks.
How we work
- One application at a time — Clarity beats covering every return in the firm thinly.
- Filing calendar first — Fieldwork dates respect freeze periods and submission portals.
- Evidence over narrative — Claims about “strong process” are tested against worksheets and approvals.
- Plain findings — Management letters name the schedule, the sample, and the gap.
People
Engagements are staffed by auditors and former regulatory reporting managers familiar with Bank of Thailand, insurance commission, and securities reporting calendars. Seniors spend time with preparers; partners stay close to material judgments and the final letter.
Thailand context
Our office is at Level 12, 39 Ratchadaphisek Road, Din Daeng, Bangkok 10400. Much of our work sits with entities filing in Thai and English packs, often reconciling group instructions written elsewhere with local supervisory templates.
Relationship with clients
We are independent of preparation. If your team needs hands-on help building schedules, we will say so and point you toward an implementation advisor rather than stretch an audit into bookkeeping.
